Delphinium’s ‘Flipping’ Good Picks
Pancakes, Podcasts and Inbox Zero
Hello!
🥞 Are you a sweet or savoury person? When it comes to snacks, I’m a savoury girl, preferring nuts, olives etc., over a slice of cake – controversial, I know! But when it comes to pancakes, it’s sweetness all the way, and I’ve got all my pancake ingredients and sugar, golden syrup and lemon juice for the toppings. I love seeing the pictures of your pancakes or, even better, videos of you flipping them!
Not just any Tuesday, may I add, it’s Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day as many people like to call it.Article of the Week: How ‘non-verbal communication’ is going digital
What do your video calls say about you?
Body language and other non-verbal forms of communication are ways we can judge what other colleagues are thinking or how they’re feeling at a particular time.
However, now that a lot of work has become remote, this article explains how your digital communication can portray to your co-workers how you’re feeling about them or the company. Check out the article here.
#TopTip: Use the 4 Ds to achieve inbox zero
Email notifications piling up?achieve inbox zero. Decide the priority of each by putting them into one of four categories. Delete, Do, Delegate or Defer. This will help prevent you from getting overwhelmed with your inbox as you can work on your prioritised tasks first and avoid getting bogged down by minor, time-consuming things.
Run through your emails andLovely Listen: Feel Better Live More
This is a great all-around well-being podcast. But we wanted to tell you about episode 330, The Best Foods To Nourish Your Brain.
In this episode, host Dr Rangan Chatterjee chats with Max Lugavere, a science journalist who believes that we can slow down or even prevent our brain from declining into older age by the foods that we eat. He was frustrated at the drugs-only approach his mother was given through her diagnosis of dementia at just 58 and began to research other ways to prevent brain decline.
We found it extremely interesting and would recommend you give it a listen.
What Our Clients Say...
“Gemma is an exceptional coach. She is very professional, committed and focused. She made me feel very relaxed and at ease. While she pushed me to do more sooner than I would have done on my own, her style was gentle but powerful. I never felt that I was pushed too hard. I always felt very supported and championed in the attainment of my goals. She has fantastic listening skills that get to the heart of the issue and helps you move forward quickly. Highly recommend and a pleasure to work with”. Stacey – Retail Manager
